There is nothing to stop you using the OLC in the UK as some of us do. However it is a different sort of competition, the ladder rewards declared flights and thus needs details of the declaration. Most of us are very grateful to John Bridge for providing the ladder website.

Back from a winter in Australia I put a UK flight on the OLC in a few seconds, for which I was rewarded with an interactive report including leg and speed analysis - all inside a minute or so.
Compare that to the tedium and time wasted measuring a Ladder entry.
How long should a Mac user keep an ancient PC only to do that stuff?

And another thing - I saw a full page article in the paper the other day wondering why UK productivity was 20% less than on the Continent, effecting our standard of living - employees doing Ladder entries is part of that!
