Started earlier than usual and this paid dividends. A bit of a struggle over the swampy bits around Moreton-in-the-Marsh, with lowering cloud base, then reasonable. Close encounter with a Dimona twin. Return trip dead into wind, and increasingly problematic. Lots of bugs. A very low save at 900' with the wheel down in the EDG circuit and then one last climb sees me home! My longest distance glider flight ever, I think ... |
