Are the pilots with motorised (motorized) gliders flying with their engines inhibited. If not then I feel that competing against them for the best of anything is a waste of time.
Whilst the flights they achieve a quite remarkable, without the support of a get you home thermal for when it wasn't achievable, nobody in a straight glider would dare declare them.
Please put them in a separate class next year. If it's possible for wooden gliders then it shouldn't be difficult for gliders with motors.
It's either that or all the straight glider pilots arm themselves with a packet of sugar. |
